Full-Grain Vegetable-Tanned Italian Leather

We use certified, premium full-grain Italian cowhide, vegetable tanned in Tuscany by a family run tannery.

No syntethic coatings. No corrected grain. Just natural leather, finished using traditional methods.

How it Wears

Vegetable-tanned leather develops depth and character over time. It evolves. It gains patina. It becomes distinctly yours.

It doens't stay static, and that's the point.

Responsable Production

Our leather is a by-product of the food industry and is hand-dyed in small batches, allowing each piece to develop variations in tone and character

We use natural tannig derived from barks and leaves, a cleaner, slower process.

Could be slightly bigger
I bought my husband a tan one for work and loved it so much, I bought myself one in green, however mine is for personal use. I bought an A4 spiral weekly diary from Tiny Me and if I slide half the diary in under the right pocket and leave half on top to access (first half of 24 for example) it's snug but fits, and I can put a small notepad in the left pocket. It would be nice if it was a bit thicker to carry a larger notepad or additional papers but that's getting a bit picky. And I was slightly limited in the pens I could choose for the pen holder when buying for my husband, as I picked a nice pen out for his gift. But still plenty of nice pens that did fit.

Where is this product made?

All Republic of Florence pieces are handcrafted in Italy by skilled artisans, using time-honoured techniques and the highest-quality materials.

What type of leather do you use?

We use full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather sourced from select Tuscan tanneries. This leather develops a natural patina over time, giving each piece a unique character.

What’s the difference between Classica and Opaca finishes?

Both are crafted from the same full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather. Classica has a smooth, lightly polished surface for a refined sheen. Opaca has a soft-touch, matte finish with a more relaxed look. Both age beautifully, developing a rich patina over time.

How do I care for the leather?

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth to remove surface dust. For deeper conditioning, we recommend a neutral leather cream every few months. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, moisture, or extreme temperatures.

Can I personalise it?

Yes.Monogramming is available on most items. Add up to four initials in the font and placement shown on the product page.

Do you offer a Try at Home service?

Yes — our Try at Home service lets you experience the product in person before deciding to keep it. You’ll have 7 days from delivery to see how it feels, fits, and works for you. If it’s not right, simply return it unused and in original condition for a full refund. Monogrammed items are excluded from this service.

What is your returns policy?

If your purchase is unused and in original condition, you may return it within 30 days for a refund or exchange. Monogrammed items are final sale (warranty applies).
