The simple math of cost per use
A cheap bag replaced every couple of years costs more than one good bag you keep.
Divide the price of a well-made piece across all the days you use it, and the number looks different. It is the same logic as a jacket you keep wearing, or boots worth resoling rather than binning.
With full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather, you are not paying for a logo or a season. You are paying for a material that improves with use.
Not a seasonal bag
Trends date. A considered bag doesn't.
Fast fashion runs on urgency: the bag of the season, the sale ending tonight, the drop you have to have. Pieces made that quickly are made to be replaced. They crack, peel, and fade, and then you buy the next one.
We don't design to a season. We design a small range in one leather, in shapes meant to still make sense in a few years. Nothing here is trying to be the bag of the moment, which is exactly why it outlasts the moment.

Here is the real difference. A lot of cheaper leather is finished with a thin synthetic coating, sprayed on to hide the surface. That coating is what cracks, peels, and dulls over the years, because it is a layer sitting on top of the leather, and it dries out and lifts away.
Full-grain vegetable-tanned leather has no such coating. You are looking at the actual grain, not a finish over it, so there is nothing to peel. That doesn't make it indestructible. Left soaking wet, dried by a heater, or never cared for, any leather will suffer. But looked after, this leather wears in rather than out.
The colour behaves the same way. Because it is hand-dyed, absorbed well below the surface rather than sprayed on top, a scratch or scuff tends to blend in rather than expose a pale raw layer underneath. On surface-coloured or coated leather, the same knock leaves a light-coloured mark where the finish has broken. Here there is no separate layer to break through.
How long it lasts is partly up to you. Kept dry, conditioned now and then, stored with a little care, it will stay with you for a long time and look better for the years, not worse. The grain opens, the colour deepens, the wear points take on a sheen. It ends up specific to you.
Look after it, and it looks after you. The leather records how you use it.
The quiet return
Cost per use explains the numbers. The rest is harder to price.
There is something steadying about carrying one good thing and not thinking about replacing it. You chose it deliberately. You look after it. It gets better while you do. That is the whole idea of buying well: you make the decision once, properly, and then you can stop making it.
Most things you buy are at their best the day you get them. This one improves the longer you keep it.
